| 1981 - Rodger D. Shay and James Bolton, both former merrill Lynch executives, form Bolton Shay & Co., Inc. Mr. Shay was Chairman of the Board of Merrill Lynch Government Securities, Inc. He served as the first President of the GNMA Dealers Association and was also a member of the United States Treasury Advisory Committee for four different Presidential cabinets. Bolton Shay & Co., Inc. purchases First Financial Trust Company, A Texas -chartered trust Company intially organized in 1943. Bolton Shay & Co., Inc. organizes Bolton Shay Assets Management, Inc. and launches the Primary Liquidity Fund, a fixed-income mutual fund designed to meet the investment needs of financial institutions. 1985 - Bolton Shay & Co., Inc. is sold to the U.S. League of Savings Institutions, a national trade association for financial institutions, and renamed U.S. League Investment Services, Inc. 1990 - Partnership is formed between U.S. League of Savings Institutions and the newly created Shay Investment Services, Inc. The name is changed to Shay Investment Services, Inc. 1996 - Through its subsidiary, Shay Financial Services, Inc., Shay Investments Services, Inc. purchases the assets of CIC Capital, Inc., a dealer in certificates of deposits. 1997 - Shay Investment Services, Inc. becomes wholly owned by certain employees after purchasing the partnership interest of America's Community Bankers (formerly U. S. League of Savings Institutions). 2001 - Shay Insurances Services, LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Shay Investment Services, Inc., is organized to provide lender protection insurance products to mortgage originators. 2003 - Shay Investment Services, Inc. purchases Iberville Building & Loan Association, an OTS regulated financial depository institution chartered in 1915, further enhancing the capabilities of the Certificate of Deposit trading desk operated through Shay Financial Services, Inc. 2006 - Shay Financial Services, Inc. and Banes Capital Management, LLC., a specialist in SBA Guaranteed Loan Pool Securities and SBA Guaranteed Interest Certificates, enter into a working relationship to provide Shay customers with comprehensive advice in any transaction relating to Government Guaranteed loan and pooling investments. 2008 - Shay Financial Services, Inc. opens Charlotte, NC office, a branch to the trading division in Summit, NJ, specializing in Structured Products, including CDO's, ABS, MBS subs and CMBS. |
